Clinton, MS (April. 26, 2021)

Last week Taylor Power Systems held its 2020 Top Service Technician Competition at the headquarters in Clinton, MS. The 2020 competition was originally scheduled for November of 2020 but was moved due to COVID protocols that were in place at the time for employee safety.

The competition brought together nine talented generator technicians from several Taylor Sudden Service offices and placed each technician in various troubleshooting scenarios on an assortment of Taylor Power and vendor products. This included the technician diagnosing and rectifying issues on assorted generator engines, transfer switches, and controls. The competition was tight throughout, with the top three on the leaderboard changing after each round. However, at the conclusion, only one technician was triumphant and claimed the title of 2020 Top Service Technician.

Congratulations to 2020 Top Service Technician winner, Josh Heller. Josh is a service technician at the Bossier City, Louisiana office. This was Josh's second time competing in the Top Tech Competition, as he finished runner-up in 2019. In addition, hats off to 2nd place finisher and 2019 winner Ron Ducote of the Gonzales office and Danny Patterson of the Clinton office for finishing 3rd.

Overall, each technician that participated tackled the competition head-on and we are proud of their effort and willingness to learn. We also want to say thank you to our vendor partners and judges for taking the time to participate and provide their valuable product expertise.
